Accessibility in RelishCue

RelishCue is built around a dark interface, clear menu decisions, and practical controls for scanning menus, reviewing dishes, and asking staff before ordering.

Current App Store label

RelishCue currently publishes support for Dark Interface on iPhone. The app uses a dark color scheme across screens, menus, controls, and the public website.

Additional support in the app

  • Many primary controls include accessibility labels, roles, and selected states so screen readers and voice input can identify actions more clearly.
  • Menu results use visible labels such as Top pick, Ask first, Full menu, and generated image notes, so key meaning is not communicated by color alone.
  • Generated dish images include descriptive accessibility labels and visible disclosure that they are generated representative images.
  • The app responds to Reduce Motion for key animated scan and results states by simplifying or removing continuous motion.
  • The dark color palette is designed for readable use in restaurants and low light.

Features we continue to test

Before adding more App Store accessibility labels, we test the common app tasks with each feature. Those tasks include first launch, setting preferences, scanning or uploading a menu, reviewing results, opening dish details, showing a staff phrase, saving or sharing a menu summary, viewing history, and changing settings.

We are continuing to test VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text, Sufficient Contrast, Differentiate Without Color Alone, and Reduced Motion across those tasks.

Media accessibility

RelishCue does not currently include video or audio content that requires captions or audio descriptions. If that changes, this page will be updated.
